If you have a Google account and are signed in, each location you search appears in the Saved Locations list. maps uses locations in this list to suggest entries in the Search Maps field as you type.
Your five most recent searches appear in the left panel of maps. To view your saved locations, click the arrow beside the search box at the top of the page. You can do the following:
- Add, edit, or delete a location (Click Edit saved locations).
- Customize your locations by adding labels to them. Each label is used to generate suggestions from your list of saved locations.
- Set your default location by clicking one of the green arrows.
- Enable or disable auto-saving of your searches.
